Empty Nest Mothers are super special and deserve to be treated that way. Mom may feel unsure at this time weather Mother’s Days will be the same due to the loss of children in the house. I know that Mother’s Day gifts are even more precious, now that the children are no longer here. Gifts and cards will be appreciated so much. Here are some thoughts on Mother’s Day gifts for Empty Nest Moms.
Mother’s Day gifts are more precious to me now.
Since I am an empty nest mom, I know that mother’s day gifts are even more precious, now that the children are no longer here. Usually I am not a gift giver or totally thrilled receiving gifts but a few of my Mother’s day gifts over the years are among my most precious belongings. But always, my children’s company is gift #1.
I have received a few treasures and
one of them is a Sterling Silver necklace sculptured as a mother and child. I have found for you a beautiful interconnecting necklace to look at. This darling necklace is something she can wear everyday. I only wear mine on special occasions but I absolutely love it. My oldest son gave it to me. It was a total surprise.
Last minute gifts are what Amazon has mastered. And at any time a gift card, slipped in a beautiful card is appropriate. Write a sweet note to Mom telling her how much she means to you and reference a special time you had together.
Another one of my treasures is, of all things, a coffee cup.
It was given to me by my youngest daughter and epics a sewing machine and fabric and says, “When life gives you scraps, make a quilt”. I love, love, love it. I use it every Sunday ceremoniously. Mmmm… and a blast to the past, I love Vanilla Musk perfume. If you know what scent she loves, go for it.
Let’s focus on Mom.
Oh, I know that you are aware that I am an affiliate of Amazon.com and will receive a small tip from them if you buy something for Mom through these links.
It will not cost you an extra dime, but means a-lot to me. Only 3 people need to purchase from Amazon for me to qualify with them for the tips. And thank you in advance for your participation. I hope that doesn’t make you feel too spammed. I don’t intend to offend you. Let’s focus on Mom and not on me.
These gifts make me smile whenever I use them.
My youngest son gave me a note pad that says “Sh#t I don’t want to forget” on the front. It makes me smile every time I use it. I would usually have a bit more finesse but It is from my son and is exactly what he would and did give to me. The leather refillable note pad is beautiful. It is actually a journal style pad and as said, it has refills, so Journal On.
I can not say it enough, Magazine Subscriptions remind her that you love her every month. I give magazine subscriptions to family and friends all the time. So affordable yet the perfect reminder that you love them every month of the year.
Mother’s Day gifts don’t have to be flashy or expensive.
Mother’s Day gifts don’t have to be flashy or expensive to be treasures. Pick something that is special between the two of you. Does she collect seashells or skeleton keys? Do you know about something that she has always liked but wouldn’t go ahead and buy it for herself? A little luxury often gets passed by if you would have to buy it for yourself.
Spoil Her.
Here is a free printable for you – no purchase is required here. Use it any way you like, suggestions are in the zip file.
